Conference on Democratisation of the Mass Media in Belarus
Warsaw, 6-7 June 2008
This session of the Civil Society Communication Platform for Belarus is organised by the Conference of INGOs of the Council of Europe with the participation of the Ad hoc Sub-Committee, Committee on Culture, Science and Education of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. At the beginning of this event, the Ad hoc Sub-Committee, Committee on Culture, Science and Education of PACE will hold its meeting and hearings on the situation of the media in Belarus.
The conference will be attended by members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the INGO Conference, Belarusian journalists, civil society representatives and human rights defenders, democratic opposition, as well as representatives of civil society, experts and politicians from Poland and the region.
